As minorities in STEM, you never know what is out there until you are exposed to it. I joined SWE++ to provide exposure to the next generation of women to STEM related careers while supporting, inspiring and motivating them to achieve whatever they strive to.

​I joined SWE++ because I wanted to give opportunities for students to learn how to code. I have met amazing mentors and people who taught me how to code and I hope to spread my knowledge to girls who are pursuing a STEM career.

I decided to join the SWE++ executive board at SCU because I am passionate about the opportunity to help young girls dive into the world of STEM. As a bioengineering major, I love showing how engineering and technology go beyond the classroom and into real-world careers that make a difference. Through hands-on coding lessons and inspiring guest speakers, I aim for SWE++ to spark curiosity, confidence, and excitement in the next generation of innovators.

​Hi! I'm Arpitha Mamidi, and I'm currently an Activity Coordinator for SWE++. I joined SWE++ because I’m passionate about making STEM more accessible and fun for young girls, especially through hands-on, engaging activities. I love being a part of lesson plans that not only teach coding fundamentals and engineering principles but also build confidence and curiosity. Through SWE++, I hope to continue inspiring an inclusive community for the next generation of girls in tech and engineering.
